Côte d’Azur or the French Riviera is the Mediterranean coastline of southeast France that borders Italy. The area includes the sovereig state of Monaco which is the second smallest independent state. This area is a popular vacation spot for A list celebrities. Some of them even own homes and are residence because they do not have to pay taxes for these properties. Needless to stay the area is filled with top of the line luxury cars and private yachts.
We visited a perfume factory in Monaco where scents and soaps are made. It was very cool to see “the noses” or people who smell the scents and determine the ingredients for the fragrance. Even though we were not allowed to take a lot of pictures, we did get to see the soaps being made and packaged off. Pretty cool! I could not have left without purchasing some soap!
This was great exposure since France is known for its fragrances and soaps especially lavender and lilac flavors. What better place to buy soap and perfume than from the factory in France itself!!
After the parfum factory we continued on to Nice which is equally as breathtaking as Monaco.
Even though I was only there for one day, I still arrive at the consensus that The French Riviera is absolutely stunning. It is the most beautiful and luxurious place that I have ever visited. My only regret is not being able to stay there longer since we were unable to go to Monte Carlo due to the sudden torrential downpour. But no being upset over such a minute issue, I am sure that I will have plenty of other opportunities to visit Monte Carlo in the future.
In conclusion, I was really excited to visit the French Riviera because I probably would not be able to visit it on my own. I am not an A lister and do not have the financial well worth to visit for for extended periods of times, well at least not as yet :). I am definitely looking forward to returning in the future even if its just for a weekend. If I win the lottery I will be moving to the French Riviera!!!
