Sunday Evenings at Coco Beach, Dar es Salaam

Just a few blocks from our hotel was one of Dar’s most beautiful beaches, Coco Beach, which is infamous for its nightlife and Sunday evening festivities. The beach is usually filled to capacity on Sundays as families and residents flock to enjoy the beautiful scenery and different activities.

I had mentioned in a previous post about the similarities between Tanzania and Guyana and yet again noticed another one. It is also very common for locals to spend Sunday evenings watching the sun go down and waves come in on the beach. As a matter of fact, the sea wall strip which is a wall preventing the sea from flooding the capital city comes alive on Sundays also just like Coco Beach.

Tanzania continues to amaze me!
