Since Berlin was just a fours hours away and I could not get a train ticket I travelled with a Czech student agency bus to Prague. Luckily, the bus made a stop in Dresden to pick up passengers. This worked out in my favor since I wanted to visit Dresden but was unable to.
As with most other places, my fascination with Dresden is historical. Dresden is notorious for being heavily bombed by the Americans and British towards the end of World War II. Even though the entire city center had to be rebuilt because of the devastation from the air raids, I would have loved to explore Dresden. Next trip :).
